Since MetaMask is mostly used to access the Ethereum blockchain and interact with decentralized applications, a lot of users assume that Metamask can’t be connected to other chains such as Binance Smart Chain (BSC).

Connecting Binance Smart Chain (BSC) to Metamask
Adding Binance to BSC is a bit complicated.
However, if you follow the steps written below, you will be able to do it.
To connect Binance Smart Chain to Metamask, you will have to install Metamask Wallet.
Once installed, open it and add BSC Network Information and then transfer your BNB to your Metamask wallet.
Here are a few simple steps to add BSC to Metamask:
Step 1: Create Metamask Wallet
If you don’t have a Metamask wallet installed on your PC, make sure to download and install it now.
You can download the Metamask browser extension by clicking on this link.
When you click on this link, you will have to click on the ‘Add to Chrome’ option.
When you do so, the extension will automatically be added to your Chrome browser.
Once you have successfully downloaded and installed Metamask, you will be shown two options — Import Wallet or Create a Wallet.
If you are new to Metamask, click on the ‘Create a Wallet‘ option.
Now, you will have to enter your Email ID and password to get the Secret Recovery Phrase.
Once you have successfully confirmed your Secret Recovery Phrase, you will have a Metamask wallet created.
Step 2: Configure Your Wallet
Since Metamask is primarily used to connect with the Ethereum blockchain, you will have to make a few changes to connect it to Binance Smart Chain (BSC).
Once you have successfully created a Metamask wallet, open it by clicking on its extension icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
When you click on its extension icon, a window will appear on the screen.
Once it appears, click on the three-dot icon as shown in the above picture.
When you do so, a bunch of options will appear, click on the ‘Expand View’.
Doing this will take you to your wallet on a new tab.

Step 3: Add BSC Network Information
Once your Metamask wallet is opened in a new tab, click on your profile icon and then click on the ‘Settings’ option.
In the left panel, you will see the ‘Network’ option.
When you click on it, a new window will open up on the screen.
Click on the ‘Add a network’ option.
When you do so, you will be asked to enter BSC Network Information.
Here is all information that you will have to enter:
- Network Name: Smart Chain
- New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/
- ChainID: 56
- Symbol: BNB
- Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com
Once you have successfully entered the above information correctly, click on the ‘Save’ button.
When you do so, you will have the Binance Smart Chain added to the Metamask wallet.
When you head to the MetaMask Wallet screen, you will see BNB symbol has been added.
Step 4: Transfer BNB to Metamask Wallet
Once you have successfully added BSC Network information to the MetaMask wallet, you will be able to transfer BNB to any Binance wallet, including
To transfer BNB to MetaMask wallet, head to your exchange and on your wallet, click on the ‘Withdraw Crypto’ tab.
When you do this, you will be redirected to a new page. There, you will have to select BNB, if you have not already.
Now, transfer BNB coins but for that, you will have to copy your Wallet Address.
Once copied, head back to the Binance screen and paste your Wallet address.
There are chances that Binance will automatically select the network that will be used to transfer BNB.
Make sure to select the BSC network or else you will lose assets.
Once you are done selecting the BSC network, you will have to enter the Withdraw amount.
Once done, your transaction will be completed. However, you need to wait until it is processed by the network.
Once it is done, you will see that the BNB has been transferred to your Metamask wallet.
