If you don’t want Instagram to promote your account or show up your profile in another user’s ‘Suggestions For You’ section, you will have to make certain changes.

Once you are done making changes, your Profile or account would not be shown to other Instagram users’ ‘Suggestions For You’ section.

Before I explain the process, let me tell you that you can only exclude your IG account from other people’s ‘Suggestions For You’ section from a Desktop or Mobile web browser.

Yes, you can’t do this from your Instagram app.

To opt-out of showing up in other user’s suggestions on Instagram, you will need to follow a few simple steps:

First, visit Instagram.com on your PC or mobile web browser.

Once you are on the site, log in to Instagram.

Once you have successfully logged in, click on your profile picture located at the top right corner of the screen and select ‘Settings’.

On the Settings window, you will have to scroll down until you see an option that says ‘Similar Account Suggestions’.

To exclude your account from showing up in other users’ Suggestions For You section, you will have to uncheck the ‘Similar Account Suggestions’ box.
